Holidays (and approximate costs) Direct From Birmingham International Airport
60Birmingham and its International Airport (BHX) are central to the UK and the entire world. Discovering the city’s road, rail and canal systems is akin to understanding England and the countries which surround it - Wales and Scotland. Flights in and out of the airport mean the city’s residents and its tourists can go anywhere in the world from Brum as it is known by its residents, who are known as Brummies…
You could stay in Birmingham for a holiday no problem, particularly if industrial history is your bag. This article however is based on places to fly to for holidays or second holidays from BHX:
Places to Fly for Holidays Direct From BHX Birmingham International Airport | Holiday Ideas with Approximate Prices
The Gambia is an option for Winter Sun. 7 nights bed and breakfast in a beach side 4 star hotel will cost about £460 per person. The price (and all those below) include return flights from/to BHX.
The Algarve’s Faro Airport is less than 3 hours away from BHX. 14 nights half board costs about £750 per person – again this is in a 4 star hotel and includes flight. A 7 night stay in a Mexican Spa (5 Star) all inclusive will cost less than £900 per person and will do you so much good. For about half that price you could stay in an Eastern Mediterranean resort in Turkey – again all inclusive. Another all inclusive 4 star holiday to consider is 7 nights in Sharm El Sheikh (The City of Peace) in Egypt. The holiday we have our eyes on is under £700 per person. Something totally different but which needs to be considered in 14 nights in Sydney Australia. Room only but 4 star and with return flights will cost less than £1750 per person.
